Located 70 miles north of Yangon, the sanctuary is the home for the rare species of resident and migratory water birds.  Winter months (November-March) are the best time for bird watching, boating and walking in this peaceful off the beaten track area although you will, undoubtedly, enjoy the visit to Moeyungyi all year round.
