Former capital of Myanmar, Yangon is the financial, economic and cultural center of the country. Thanks to its remarkable colonial-style architecture, colorful Chinatown and Indian quarter, evergreen parks and picturesque lakes Yangon has the reputation of one of the most charming Asian cities.

You will walk in the downtown area, will admire impressive colonial-era buildings and will visit Kheng Hock Keong temple, one of the two major Chinese temples in the city. You will see ancient Sule pagoda located in the center of the downtown, Chauk Htet Gyi Reclining Buddha image, one of the biggest in the world, and the Karaweik Royal Barge in the picturesque Kandawgyi park. You will also visit one of the museums on choice (National museum or Gems museum), will relax in Kandawgyi park and will stroll in famous Bogyoke market where all Myanmar traditional arts and crafts are displayed.

In the evening your guide will lead you to Shwedagon pagoda - the most veneered Myanmar temple and the world-famous symbol of the country.

Magnificent Shwedagon pagoda was built more than 2000 years ago and is truly one of the world’s wonders. Legend says that the relics of the four Buddha are enshrined in the pagoda which makes Shwedagon one of the most revered Buddhist temples in the world. Its stupa, 99 m high, is covered with millions of tiny gold leaves (the total weight of the gold covering the pagoda is believed to be up to 60 tons), and the spire of the pagoda is decorated with precious stones including diamonds, rubies and sapphires.

Your guide will reveal you secrets of the pagoda and you will enjoy an unforgettable sunset view of the splendid Shwedagon in the shafts of sunlight of the parting day.
